Speech and Debate Team Qualifies Record Number of Monarchs to State Tournament

Congratulations to the Speech and Debate team for qualifying a record number of Monarchs to the state tournament in April. So far, 43 students have qualified to the state tournament after participating in four qualifying tournaments.

Musicians Named to All-State Honor Band

March 12, 2017

Congratulations to freshman Kristie Park and junior William Ju for earning spots in the 2017 All-State Honor Band. More than 1,500 students from across the state auditioned for these spaces. Kristie, who plays the flute, was accepted into the All-State Symphonic Band. William, who is a percussionist, was accepted into the All-State Wind Symphony.

Royals Take Home Awards

March 11, 2017

The Royals dance team won several awards during the New York City Dance Alliance Convention held at the Santa Clara Convention Center earlier this month. The team took second place for their large production number. A special congratulations to sophomores Kieran McCall and Nicole Arcolino; juniors Jade Ricci, Ashlyn Plant, and Pascha Hopkins; and senior Maddie Nisperos for receiving individual awards for their solo performances.

Monarchs Compete in National Physics Contest

March 10, 2017

Congratulations to seniors Kaushal Partani, Tommy Kost, and Junior Teja Veeramacheneni, who entered the Princeton University Physics Competition, a nationwide online physics contest. These AP Physics students placed second in the entropy / statistical mechanics category and fourth in the nation.
