Office Hours on Regular School Days

Main Office:  7:15 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
Business Office:  7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Institutional Advancement Offices:  7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Attendance Office:  7:15 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
Library:  M-Th 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and F 7:00 a.m.-4:40 p.m.

School Holidays

Classes held on regular school days: 7:50 a.m.-2:35 p.m.

Campus closed during regular school days: 7:50 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Students are not required to be on campus until their first period of the day.  Once students are on campus, they are not permitted to leave during the school day from 7:50 a.m.-2:00 p.m. without permission.

When a special schedule designates classes are held for only half of the day, students may leave after their last class on that day.

Doors to the main school entrance and classroom wings are locked at 4:30 p.m. 

Parents should make arrangements to have their student picked by 4:30 (unless involved in athletics), as students must wait outside after that time.

With the exception of dances, campus activities that involve students end by 9:30 p.m.   Depending upon distance, athletic team travel will return students to campus later than 9:30pm.

The following dances run from 8:00-11:00 p.m.:  Back To School Dance and Homecoming Dance. Junior Prom and Senior Ball run from 7:00-11:30.

Service Dogs at AMHS Events

In keeping with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Archbishop Mitty High School will grant access to AMHS events to service animals accompanied by a person who is being provided service by the animal.

The ADA requires only that service animals be permitted at events open to the public. Under Title II and III of the ADA, service animals are limited to dogs.  Therapy or support or comfort animals (including dogs) are not classified as service animals under the ADA.

Animals other than service animals are not allowed entrance to AMHS events, nor may non-service animals be present on campus without expressed, prior permission of the administration.

The school may charge an individual for damage caused by his or her service animal.

In the unlikely event that a service animal disrupts an event, the person accompanying the service animal and the service animal may be removed from the event.

Access to campus is restricted Monday-Friday between the hours of 10:00pm and 6:00am.  Campus is closed to student access on Saturdays after 3:00 p.m. unless an event is occurring.  The campus is closed all day on Sundays.
