Mini Monarch Recreational Camp (Rising K-4 Grade)

All Sessions Will Be Hosted On The Queen of Apostles Campus Located Adjacent to AMHS

Mini Monarch camps create spaces where children can experience fairness, kindness, and the value of trying new activities and of expanding on skills. Campers will explore and engage in fun group activities with the goals of making new friends and peer relationships, growing moving muscles, learning problem solving skills as a working member of a team, and testing their responsibility and independence in a safe environment. Participants are required to wear athletic shoes & apparel, and bring a bottle of water each day. Daily nutritious snacks and lunch are provided. This camp will be hosted this summer in partnership with Queen of Apostles School and will be hosted on the Queen of Apostles campus

Digital and Performing Arts

Musical Theatre (Rising 6-8 Grade)

Step into the world of Walt Disney Imagineering with a brand-new musical revue, Dare to Dream JR! Drawing from a century of beloved Disney films, Dare to Dream JR. features songs appearing for the first time ever in a Disney stage musical, including fan-favorites from The Princess and the Frog, Coco, Encanto, and Frozen II. Come work with AMHS Performing Arts faculty and perform in a theme park style musical revue in only two weeks of rehearsal. The fun begins Monday, June 15th and ends with an hour-long performance on Wednesday, July 1st at 11:00 AM in the Kinkade Center for the Arts. Camp is directed by Doug Santana, Director of Performing Arts.

Want to know what it's like to be a cast member of the popular AMHS Sketch Comedy group, Pardon My French? Now is your chance to learn long and short form improvisation games and develop your own comedic sketches with our Director of Performing Arts and Pardon My French director, Mr. Doug Santana. This gut-busting seven day camp will end with a performance on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 25th in the Kinkade Center for the Arts. Camp is directed by Doug Santana, Director of Performing Arts.

Debate (Rising 8-10 Grade)

Do you want to improve your public speaking skills, confidence, and ability to create convincing arguments?  How about test driving an official high school tournament event called Policy Debate in a supportive camp environment?  You’ll move from the basics to advanced skills with plenty of support from current AMHS Debate Team members - and get a head start on high school competition.  No experience necessary!  We’ll progress from fun mini debates to analyzing next year’s official high school policy debate topic, constructing arguments, writing cases, practicing rebuttals, and finally full debates. Camp is directed by Michaela Northrop, a Debate Coach on staff for AMHS’ Speech and Debate Team.

Music Production (Rising 6-9 Grade)

In this enrichment camp, students will learn the fundamentals of music production, guiding them through the process of collaborating in groups to create, record, and present their own song by the end of the camp.   This camp will be lead by Lauren Bevilaqua, director of AMHS liturgical band Exodus, with support from Christian Ramos, a Mitty alum with extensive experience in music production. 


Dance Audition Prep (Rising 6-9 Grade)

Do you want to be a member of the AMHS Royals Dance Ensemble or get better at auditioning for dance calls...this is the class for you. This fast paced dance class will better prepare you to learn choreography and combos utilizing various dance styles. This camp is directed by Anethra Rhodes, Dance Director.

Social Media Marketing (Rising 8-9 Grade)

This two-week course for rising 8th and 9th grade students will focus on learning the foundations of marketing and digital media. Exploring various facets of marketing, students will gain new insight on consumer behavior, media literacy, rebranding, among other subtopics. Featuring guest speakers with backgrounds in marketing, journalism, and public health, students will draw connections between content and application in various careers.  Camp will be directed by Elizabeth Eckman, Religious Studies Teacher.

Join us for an exciting week of hands-on tech exploration at AI Creators Summer Camp, where you’ll use a new cutting-edge AI tool each day to bring your creative ideas to life! Whether you're into storytelling, podcasting, video-making, or design, this camp will introduce you to the future of creativity. No prior experience needed—just bring your imagination and curiosity! By the end of the week, you'll walk away with new skills, cool projects, and a glimpse into how AI is shaping the world of creativity.  Camp will be directed by Rachel Marrion, Social Studies Teachers.

CAD and 3D Printing (Rising 6 - 9 Grade)

In this enrichment camp, students will learn how to use industry leading 3D modeling programs to design digital creations of their imaginations, and then use 3D printing technology to make those designs a reality. Students' will put their creativity and learned design and manufacturing skills to the test in engineering competitions and team activities. 

Introduction to Science Research (6 - 8 Grade)

Eureka! You discovered a hands-on science lab experience where AMHS Science faculty will teach students how to design scientific experiments using high school level technology. Students will make use of PASCO sensors linked to an iPad via Sparkvue app to gather data. Students will additionally develop practical lab skills like measuring, solution preparation, and solution pipetting. Using these new found laboratory skills and understanding for PASCO sensor use, students will design an experiment of their choice.

Robotics (Rising 6 - 9 Grade)

In this enrichment camp, students participate in hands-on learning about robotic design, mechanics, control, and programming from our AMHS Robotics faculty and staff.  Fun and challenge are part of this camp experience as student teams work together and learn the fundamentals of robot design and engineering.

World Languages

ASL Immersion (Rising 6 - 9 Grade)

The American Sign Language (ASL) Summer Youth Camp is designed for beginners to immerse themselves in the third most used language in the U.S. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community while learning foundational ASL vocabulary.  Each day, we will explore a theme centered around summertime with family and friends, introducing related signs through interactive activities. Lessons will include live demonstrations, along with PowerPoint slides and handouts featuring visual aids of the signs learned in class. By the end of the camp, students will have gained a strong foundation in ASL and enhanced their memorization, communication, and interpersonal skills through collaborative learning.
