The Archbishop Mitty Parent Association (AMPA) brings parents together in support of the school and the greater community through social events and service opportunities. Volunteer or attend an upcoming AMPA event and experience firsthand the many benefits of becoming involved in the Mitty community!
There is no need to sign up to be part of the parent association. By nature of having a student enrolled at Mitty, all Mitty parents are automatically considered AMPA members.
The AMPA Board is composed of nominated volunteer leaders who serve as liaisons to the AMHS parent community as well as spearhead, lead and volunteer for various AMPA and AMHS sponsored events and programs. Each board member serves on one or more of the following committees: Athletic Program Support, Parent Engagement, Hospitality, Performing Arts Support, Mailing, Social Events, Student Events and Special Events. In addition, the AMPA board is chaired by a leadership team of past, present and future AMPA Presidents.

Over 600 parents annually provide vital support to Mitty through volunteerism. Nearly every AMHS event and student program is supported in some capacity by volunteers. Most volunteer activities take place after work hours. Volunteering might only take a few hours of your time, but is critical to the school, and is a great way to network with other parents, learn about your student’s environment, and share in the many traditions that make Mitty so unique and special.

We have established a new online community exclusively for parents and caregivers of AMHS students. This private online community, managed and moderated by AMPA and school administrators, has been established to make our parents feel welcome, have questions answered and find support and useful information from others in our Monarch community. Each parent will receive an email invitation to join the community at the start of the school year.
Throughout the year, the Archbishop Mitty Parent Association plans events and provides services that benefit the entire Mitty community. These activities provide invaluable assistance to the school and offer opportunities for parents to get to know one another and have some fun. AMPA Tailgate Party – September 3, 2021
Enjoy a school tradition and kick-off the 2021 football season with your fellow Monarchs at AMHS! Come early and beat the parking crunch and fuel up to cheer on our football team! Game tickets will be sold at the door for $5 (cash only). Food may be purchased at the game (cash, credit card and School Bucks on student ID cards may be used for payment). The Junior Varsity team kick-off is at 10:00 a.m.. BBQ will be served between 11:30 p.m.- 1:00 p.m. followed by the Varsity team kick-off at 1:00 p.m. No RSVP necessary.

Fall Luncheon and Book Review – October 27, 2021 A popular event for Mitty parents, alumni and friends. Attendees enjoy a luncheon, followed by a book review by faculty members.

Engage with Mitty Week - March 17-21, 2022
This week is dedicated to bring adults in the Archbishop Mitty family together to build community, enjoy each others’ company and raise funds to benefit AMHS. Community members can choose which event(s) best suit their schedule and interests. Please watch for in-person event details this Spring. Volunteers and committee members are needed for each event. The Virtual Mitty Auction - March 17-21, 2022 - The Virtual Mitty Auction is AMPA’s only fundraising event. Each year, with the support of our community, parents, alumni and alumni parents are invited to bid on hundreds of donated items with 100% of proceeds benefiting our school. Many volunteers are needed and joining this team is a wonderful way to meet parents and support the school. Please use this form to register to volunteer.
Please help make our faculty/staff appreciation program a continued success by dropping off those sporting event tickets, theater tickets, gift certificates or vacation home vouchers that you are unable to use. All donations are tax-deductible. It is a wonderful and deeply appreciated way to recognize the enthusiasm and excitement of the phenomenal Mitty faculty and staff. You may also drop off your donation at the Main Office in care of Jennifer Hull.
