Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program

Responding to the belief that we are all made in the image and likeness of God, the AMHS Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Program has two goals: one, to welcome qualified young men and women of color to join and participate fully in the AMHS community and two, to provide these students with the academic, emotional and social support through our dedicated programs and faculty to attain success.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at AMHS

Archbishop Mitty High School is an inclusive community in which it is consistently evident that diversity is welcomed, respected, and valued; equitable policies and practices are in use; everyone feels safe and supported; and all members of the community learn to be culturally competent leaders who advocate for the equitable treatment of others within and beyond AMHS.

The DEI Committee is comprised of Administrators, Faculty, Parents, Alumni meets three times a year to engage in dialogue and continue to brainstorm ways to be an inclusive community.

Community & Belonging

At Archbishop Mitty High School, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Program collaborates with student affinity groups and campus organizations to foster a welcoming environment rooted in our Catholic values.
