The Digital Monarch, inaugurated in the Fall of 2020, is an online website newspaper representing the Archbishop Mitty Student Body. Lead by lead Student Editors for each of its major sections: News, Opinions, Arts and Entertainment, Arts and Comics, Photography, Justice, and Sports, the online newspaper’s mission and goal is to present a unique and impressionable student voice and perspective, capturing the unique spirit and ethos of the Mitty community. For each issue, Staff Writers, Artists, Photographers, and contributors—under the leadership of lead Student Editors—offer their voice and talents to showcase their interests and passions—inside as well as outside the classroom. Contributing to the paper is “open call” to all students who wish to participate; the process is to simply contact lead Editors and attend General Meetings where story ideas and content can be discussed and determined for each issue. In total, 3 issues are published on the newspaper website each semester (about every 5 weeks).
