Each team is guaranteed two games, with prizes awarded to the tournament champion, runner-up, and winner of the consolation bracket. Encourage your students to get their friends together, make a team, and take part in this fun-filled night of basketball.

Class of 2017 Graduation Gowns

On the near horizon is October 19th, set aside as PSAT/Activities Day. On this day, regular class sessions are suspended for the day and the four class divisions undertake the following:

All freshmen come to school and then travel by AMHS-provided bus to do service at local agencies (on campus by 7:50 a.m; back to campus and excused for the day at 1:00 p.m).

Debate and Speaker Awards

Last weekend, Archbishop Mitty Speech and Debate competed at The Harker School Nichols Invitational. In the Public Forum event, senior Koji Flynn-Do and sophomore Roshni Varma were awarded the overall 6th and 9th best speakers in their event. They reached the semifinal round and also obtained an elusive bid to the Tournament of Champions for their overall excellent performance. In the Lincoln Douglas Debate, senior Liyang Chen was awarded the 6th best speaker overall. In the Policy Debate, the six debaters who were entered ended up taking six of the top eight speaker awards. Junior Teja Veeramacheneni and senior Rahul Devarapalli were awarded 2nd and 3rd best overall policy debate speakers and advanced to the final round where they narrowly lost on a 2-1 decision. Sophomores Eshan Gupta and Aditi Chatradhi obtained 5th and 7th place speaker awards and were unfortunately "walked-over" in the semifinal round since they were paired against Teja and Rahul, the more senior team. This was a wonderful overall showing from our team, and we look forward to the upcoming league tournaments in October.
