Director of Alumni Relations

The Director reports directly to the Executive Director for Advancement and is responsible for coordinating alumni campaign and alumni events, working with the members of the Advancement Department to plan and to implement annual department goals, coordinate the undertakings of the Alumni Council and the Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament Committee, provide support for the Career Symposium Committee, and serve as a member of the Advancement Committee. 

Specific Duties of the Director of Alumni Relations include 

  • Fundraising 
  • Alumni communication and cultivation
  • Two (2) Annual Online giving Fundraisers 
  • Giving Tuesday 
  • Monarch Day of Giving 
  • Reunion Gift Campaign 
  • Parent Pledge Campaign 
  • Current Student Fundraising Efforts and Events 

Management of Online Presence 

  • Alumni Database 
  • Regular correspondence with alumni 
  • Updates to the alumni web page 
  • Alumni Online Community (Mitty Alumni Connect) 
  • Alumni Facebook and Instagram social media pages 
  • Archiving of school photos and documents 

Coordinator of Special Events 

  • Alumni Games: Football, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Field Hockey
  • 5-Year Reunion 
  • Class Reunions and Alumni Weekend (MonarchFest)
  • Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament 
  • Athletic Hall of Fame Recognition Dinner 
  • Provide support for all Advancement events and programs as needed 
  • 3-4 annual Alumni Regional Events
  • Monarch Volunteer Day 
  • Career Symposium Series 
  • Management of Alumni Council 

Publications Submissions 

  • Alumni news contributions to Mitty Magazine and Annual Report 
  • Annual AMHS promotion video 
  • Weekly AMHS newsletter content 

Required Attendance

In addition to all alumni sponsored events and meetings, the Director of Alumni Relations is required to attend the following Advancement events: 

  • Open House 
  • Black and Gold Gala 
  • AMHS Auction 
  • Monarch Leadership/Principle Circle Dinner 
  • Brother Fien Dinner 
  • New Parent Night
