Current Course Advancing To Requirements
Biology  Chemistry

• Successful completion of Biology or Biology Honors
Biology  Chemistry Honors • A grade in Biology
• A grade in Algebra 2 Honors or higher
Biology  Chemistry Honors (Challenge)

• A grade in Biology
• Successfully complete Algebra 2 Honors or higher by 2026–2027
• Successful performance on the Challenge Exam
• Complete Challenge Exam Request Form by February 6 @ 3:00 p.m.
• Challenge Exam: February 17, 2026 @ 2:50 p.m.
Biology Honors Chemistry • B or lower grade in Biology Honors
Biology Honors Chemistry Honors • B+ or higher each semester of Biology Honors
• Algebra 2 Honors or higher placement (2026–2027)

Current Sophomore

Current Course Advancing To Requirements
Chemistry  Physics

• B grade or higher in Chemistry
• B- grade or higher in Geometry Honors
Chemistry  Environmental Science

• B- or lower in Chemistry
Chemistry  Physics Honors/AP Physics C: Mechanics/AP Environmental Science • A grade in Chemistry
• Meet science and math prerequisites
• Indicate preference during March course selection
Chemistry  AP Biology or AP Chemistry (Challenge)

• Meet with Science Department Chair during drop-in on January 26 or 27
• Meet science and math prerequisites
• Successful performance on the Challenge Exam
• Complete Challenge Exam Request Form by February 6 @ 3:00 p.m.
