Rising seniors are welcome to request concurrent enrollment in English, math, science, social studies, or world languages courses using a single form. Rising sophomores may only request concurrent enrollment for Introduction to Computer Science, and rising juniors may only request concurrent enrollment in Introduction to Computer Science, AP Computer A, or AP Computer Science Principles.
Please note that these requests are not guaranteed and are given only on a space available basis, with priority given to seniors. Concurrent enrollment may only occur in a single academic department. Requests for concurrent enrollment should be made using the Concurrent Enrollment Form that will be found on the student portal under Course Placement Information. The form will open on Friday, March 20th, and will close on Thursday, April 2nd at 3pm. No late requests will be accepted.
Ms. Aracelli Janini, Department Chair
Current Sophomores: College applications are due in the fall of the senior year. Thus, most colleges will not see your senior year grades until you have been admitted. It is important that you choose a balanced schedule to finish junior year strong. Counselors recommend that all students have at least one off period each semester.
Strength of Schedule: Colleges do not compare students from different high schools to judge the strength of a student’s schedule. They evaluate students within the context of their own high school. Archbishop Mitty does not allow students to “double up” in more than one department. This will NOT hurt our students in college admissions since every student has to abide by the same policy.
