The women’s soccer program has claimed an impressive seven consecutive WCAL titles plus 14 CCS championships. This past season, the team won the WCAL championship and advanced to the CCS finals. Two-time World Cup Champion, Brandi Chastain ’86, highlights the growing list of Monarchs to take their skills to the next level.
Coach Hanley brings 31 years of coaching experience to the program and has led the Monarchs to seven WCAL championships and four CCS championships since 2007. Prior to coming to Archbishop Mitty, he served as the head coach of the women’s soccer program at Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland for 11 years, leading the Dragons to eight league titles and the school's first-ever NCS championship. Over the years, he has served as a head coach with several Bay Area youth soccer organizations, including — most recently — the Bay Oaks Soccer Club. He has also served as the head state team coach for the California Youth Soccer Association-North. In addition to his experience working with youth, he is currently the head women’s soccer coach of the three-time reigning USASA National Amateur Champion "Olympic Club" of San Francisco and an associate national staff coach for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
