The Archbishop Mitty softball program is one of the most successful in CCS history, having captured 17 CCS championships, more than any other program in the section. The Monarchs continued that tradition in 2026 by earning WCAL Co-Champion honors and capturing the CCS Open Division Championship. In 2009, Mitty won the National Championship with a perfect 32–0 record, and program alumnae have gone on to compete for Team USA and play professionally. The program offers varsity and junior varsity teams.
As a student-athlete at Archbishop Mitty, Coach Yocke '07 helped lead the Monarchs to four WCAL and three CCS championships before continuing her career at the University of Kentucky, where she ranks among the Wildcats' career leaders in 10 offensive categories, including batting average, RBIs, home runs, walks, stolen bases, and putouts. She also earned a master's degree in Kinesiology and Sport Management from San José State University and previously worked in the Athletics Department at Stanford University.
