Despite a delayed and shortened season due to the pandemic, the Monarchs had strong showings in their three official races. Sophomore Alexandra Zanon placed 2nd in the last WCAL meet of this season and the men’s team placed 2nd overall. There were no WCAL or CCS championships this year, but last season, the women’s cross country team advanced to the CCS Championships, where Zanon qualified to compete at the CIF State Championship. That same year, the men’s team won third place in the WCAL, breaking a 21-year-old school record for the course and advancing to the CCS Championships.
