Online Recommendations - Our Preferred Method (due Wednesday, February 3, 2021)

Our preferred method is to have recommendations completed online using Ravenna; this online program notifies an applicant's recommenders of due dates, lets applicants know when their recommendations have been completed, and transmits recommendations electronically. Please note that this year it is especially important to have all recommendations and transcripts submitted online as we are not receiving mail daily.

To begin the online recommendation process with Ravenna, please login to your Ravenna Account and follow the steps.

  • CONFIDENTIAL RECOMMENDATION REQUEST FORM (required) - Please complete the online Confidential Teacher Recommendation Request form through Ravenna.  This form should be completed by the applicant's principal, 8th grade academic teacher, or counselor.
  • OPTIONALTEACHER EVALUATION FORM (optional) - (This form may be completed by teachers not listed above) This form should be completed by a current English, math, science, or social studies teacher (if he or she was not involved in completing the required Confidential Recommendation Request Form).  This form is optional, not required.
  • Please Note: Non-academic recommendations are not required by Archbishop Mitty High School. If you would like to submit information regarding an applicant's extra-curricular involvement, you may do so in the form of a letter mailed to the Admissions Office or emailed at; however, this is not required as part of the application process.

Offline Recommendations (due Wednesday, February 3, 2021)

If your recommendations cannot be submitted online please contact for an offline recommendation form.

Required Material (due Wednesday, February 3, 2021)

There are several parts to the application process in addition to the application you are about to begin.  The Transcript Request Form is required and you may print it through your Ravenna account. Transcripts can be submitted by mail or uploaded by the school through Ravenna.

  • TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FORM (required)– Please print the request form from Ravenna, sign the release for school records and give it to your principal, counselor or 8th grade homeroom teacher for submission of transcripts and standardized testing. This information must be returned to Archbishop Mitty High School by a representative of the applicant's current school.
  • STANDARDIZED TESTING – Applicants should also request through the Transcript Request Form that their current school send all standardized testing completed in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade.  This should be submitted to Archbishop Mitty High School by a representative of the applicant’s current school and can be mailed or uploaded through Ravenna. Students who have not taken any standardized test during 7th and 8th grade are not required to submit testing.

High School Placement Testing

Applicants will register for the High School Placement Test as part of the online application process.  The testing fee is included in the $75 application fee.  Students who have not applied to Archbishop Mitty High School will be assessed a $50 testing fee due on or before the day of the exam.  Space is limited for students who have not applied to Archbishop Mitty High School, please contact for more information.  No students will be tested without paying an application fee or a testing fee. Students who require extended time should contact for more information.
