Campus Ministry and Service Learning

Get Started Early on Your Service Learning Hours!

The Service Learning Program provides students with the opportunity to witness their commitment to Christian values through service to the wider community. Students are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours, which can begin as early as June 1st. Service must be performed in-person, at a non-profit, cannot be a fundraising effort, and cannot be politically affiliated. Students will record their service hours through their school MittyMonarch email account on Mobile Serve. Any questions about the Service Learning Program can be directed to the Service Learning Coordinator, Shannon McLeod.

Rising Freshmen looking for summer service opportunities might want to explore a Mitty summer school program called Faith in Action.

For more information on our Service Learning Program, please go to our Service Learning Website.

Sign-up for a Youth Group in the Fall or Spring- Cornerstone

Cornerstone is a program that combines both youth group faith experiences and service learning in a supportive community.  Once a week for eight weeks, the group will meet and either go to a service location in the San Jose area to complete service learning or they will stay on campus to participate in a youth group gathering.  Youth group gatherings will be a mixture of prayer, fun community building activities, small group sharing, & discussion of important issues. Visit the Cornerstone website to learn more. Registration will open in August.

Sign Up For A Freshman Retreat!

The retreat program at Mitty is an essential part of the communal and spiritual experience at Archbishop Mitty. Through participating in a retreat, students are able to deepen both their personal spirituality as well as their friendships with classmates. Retreats for freshmen will open in August.  Retreats do fill up quickly so sign up early.  To register for a retreat you can visit our retreat website.
