Performing Arts Season Auditions

Auditions for the 2026-2027 Performing Arts season will be announced on May 11, 2026. Please look for more information on the Mitty Performing Arts website and our summer newsletter. If you have any questions, please email our Performing Arts Manager, Ms. Gillian Ortega.

Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Percussion Ensemble

Any freshman wishing to audition for placement in the Orchestra, Wind Ensemble and/or Jazz Band should follow the instructions during the freshman online registration process and you will receive information on how to schedule an in-person audition on the Archbishop Mitty campus. Students should prepare a piece to show their abilities and be prepared to perform three of the following scales from memory: Eb, Bb, F, C, G, D, A. Concert Choir

Any freshman wishing to audition for placement in the Concert Choir should follow the instructions during the freshman online registration process and you will receive information on how to schedule an in-person audition on the Archbishop Mitty campus. Students should prepare a one minute song to be sung a cappella. If you have any questions, please contact our Choral Director, Mrs. Erin Simón.

Royals Dance Ensemble

Any freshman wishing to audition for the Royals should follow the instructions during the freshman online registration process and you will receive information on in-person auditions being held the week of April 13th on the Archbishop Mitty campus. If you have any questions, please contact our Dance Director, Mrs. Anethra Rhodes.

Kind of Blue Auditions

Any freshman wishing to audition for the Jazz Choir should follow the instructions during the freshman online registration process and you will receive information on how to schedule an in-person audition on the Archbishop Mitty campus. Students should prepare a jazz standard to be sung a cappella. Some students may be asked to attend callbacks the week of May 11th. If you have any questions, please contact our Choral Director, Mrs. Erin Simón.

Musical Theater Emphasis Auditions

Any freshman wishing to audition for the Musical Theater Emphasis course of study should follow the instructions during the freshman online registration process and you will receive information on how to schedule an in-person audition on the Archbishop Mitty campus. Students should prepare a one-minute song from a musical, a one-minute monologue (material provided) and there will be a live dance audition. If students are accepted into the Musical Theater Emphasis, they will be advised on a specific course of study starting with either Concert Choir/Vocal Ensemble and Musical Theater Dance their 9th grade year.
