• Student pickup and drop off are not permitted on the Queen of Apostles campus adjacent to our east parking lot, unless siblings attend the grade school.

• The buildings on campus are locked each day at 4:30 p.m. Students are encouraged to wait for pickup in the west parking lot at this time.

Student Drop Off/Pick Up Reminders
Getting to and from school can be a challenge at times, especially as everyone gets into the groove of a new school year. Here are a few important tips to make your drop-off and pick-up at Archbishop Mitty as safe and efficient as possible:

• Try to drop off students before 7:30 a.m. for a quick and easy exit.
• Refrain from making U-turns on Mitty Avenue since it is unsafe for pedestrians and other drivers.
• Consider our neighbors by not using or blocking their driveways.
• Pick up students after the 2:35 p.m. rush to avoid waiting in traffic.
• Designate a location for pick up that is easy to access after school.

Please be reminded that student drop off is not permitted in the Queen of Apostles parking lot, unless a sibling that attends that school is also being dropped off. If you have any questions or concerns about parking, please contact Tamara Monson (408) 342-4366.

Online Lunch Payment System Available

myschoolbucks.com, our lunch program host and portal, gives parents an easier and more convenient way to manage and add funds to a student's lunch account. If you have had an account with myschoolbucks.com in the past, your log-in and password will be valid this year as well, and you only need one account per family. If you are new to the resource, please take a look at the ease and convenience of having a pre-paid lunch program, eliminating that last minute scramble for money on the way to school! All your student will need is his/her ID card, distributed the first few days of school. The student ID will be synced with your account. Just a swipe of the card in the cafeteria will allow a student to make a purchase!

With mySchoolBucks, you can review recent purchases, check balances, and receive low balance alerts. For a small fee, you can add money to your student's account using Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card or debit cards. You may also pay directly from your checking account. One of the most popular features is a "Set and Forget" payment option, which automatically adds funds to your student's lunch account: weekly, monthly or when the balance runs low!

Enrollment is easy!
Go to mitty.com and find "Cafeteria Cash Card" under Quick Links (you can also go directly to mySchoolBucks.com). A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provide. Click on the link to setup your account. Once you activate your account, add your student's name and ID. You can deposit up to $200 per transaction into your student's account with your credit or debit card, or electronic check for a $2.50 handling fee. In addition, you or your student can drop off or mail a check, payable to Epicurean Group, for any amount and no handling fee. There is an activation fee of $15 per student for the 2016-2017 school year. Money generally appears within 24 hours. All connections to mySchoolBucks are encrypted with a 256-bit encryption, providing the highest level of protection and security. It's fast, convenient and it's CASH-LESS! But please note: this service is entirely optional and cash will always be accepted in the cafeteria.

Epicurean Group is Back and Better than Ever to Rock the Monarch Cafe!

We are excited to welcome back our cafeteria food service vendor, Epicurean Group! Epicurean Group chefs use the highest quality ingredients to prepare your student's meals. All their produce comes from farms right here in the Bay Area. They source organic produce according to the Environmental Working Group's recommendations for fruits and vegetables. All meat, poultry and cage-free eggs are also sourced from local farms and ranches that have met their high standards and all cheeses are natural. In addition, seafood will be purchased in accordance with the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch guidelines. Epicurean has pledged to provide fresh, natural, and organic food prepared from scratch, every day and at every meal. We are proud to offer this high quality food service program to our students, and believe it will exceed even the pickiest eater's expectations! Service will include breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

UPLIFT Support GroupSchool Spirit

Uplift is a Campus Ministry group dedicated to students whose parents are going through (or have previously gone through) cancer treatment or those who have lost a parent or sibling to cancer. Our goals are to:

• Give a space where students can feel safe and speak freely with peers and know they are not alone going through this stressful time.

• Provide an environment where students going through similar experiences can
connect and share coping strategies.

• Have a venue where students can work through difficult emotions via art, journaling, meditation, group discussions, speakers, or walks, etc.

Uplift will be moderated by Archbishop Mitty teachers who have personal experiences dealing with cancer, as well as a school counselor. We will provide lunches on a periodic basis for the Uplift participants, followed by games, creative projects, discussions, and other activities.

If you would like more information about Uplift or your student would like to be a part of this group this year, please email Rose Lopez at rlopez@mitty.com.
