2009-2010 Dance Team

The nationally recognized Archbishop Mitty Royals is a competitive and performance based dance troupe, comprised of dancers from grades 9-12.

Dance Performance I & II

Two classes are offered – Dance Performance I and Dance Performance II.  Both classes concentrate on a variety of dance styles such as jazz, ballet, musical theatre, lyrical, hip-hop, and tap.  Students also learn about the history of these dance styles as well as the choreographers and dancers that have been prominent influences in the dance industry.  All dance classes will be putting on a winter and spring dance concert.

Competitive Dance Team – AMHS Royals

The Royals are a competitive dance team that will travel to different competitions around California and compete against some of the best dance teams in the state.  This dance team requires a year-long commitment and offers a wide variety of performance opportunities for its members.  The Royals will be seen performing at freshmen orientation, rallies, football and basketball games, and of course, the winter and spring dance concerts. They will also take part in USA (United Spirit Association) Nationals taking place in Anaheim in March 2009.
