Volunteer Opportunities

Last year, over 550 parents gave at least a few hours of their time to a Mitty/AMPA program. Many gave much more. There are many benefits to becoming an active member of the Mitty community. Join us and find out for yourself!

Most volunteer jobs take place after work hours. These are some of the areas that need parent support:

The Annual Mitty Auction, Athletics, Performing Arts, Mailings, Parent Support, and Social Committee.

Enjoy a Mitty tradition and kick-off the 2010 football season with your fellow Monarchs! The Pep-Band will be there to entertain use during dinner. Come early and beat the parking crunch, and get fueled up to cheer on the JV and Varsity teams!

MENU: Burger, or Grilled Chicken Sandwich (with all the fixings), BBQ Beans, Potato Salad, Bottle Water and Soft Drinks

Parent Volunteering

Throughout the year, the Archbishop Mitty Parent Association is responsible for planning events and providing services to the school that benefit the entire Mitty community. These services provide valuable assistance to the school while the events offer opportunities for parents to meet other parents. Please consider committing your time in one or more of the areas. It is our hope that all parents will assist us by volunteering in some way. Your participation is a wonderful way to meet other parents and have some fun. If you are interested please fill out the form and return it to Mary Ann Prescott, 5000 Mitty Ave., San Jose, Ca. 95129.

Faculty/Staff Partnership Program If you would like to help us to make this program an ongoing success, drop off those sporting event tickets, theater tickets, gift certificates or vacation home vouchers that you are unable to use. Remember that these donations are tax-deductible gifts. Te enthusiasm and excitement of our faculty and staff is phenomenal and should be rewarded. So if you have something to donate or questions about the program, contact Mary Ann Prescott @ 408-342-4208. You may also drop off your donation at the Main Office in care of Mary Ann Prescott.

Mother/Daughter Communion Brunch

Mothers and daughters are cordially invited to attend the fifteenth annual Archbishop Mitty High School Mother/Daughter Communion Brunch, a morning for all the special women in our lives on Sunday, September 26, 2010. Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. in MacLean Gym followed by brunch in the Aymar Events Center. All faiths welcome and encouraged to attend. This special event is open to all the special women in our lives including mothers, daughters, aunts, grandmothers, and special friends. The cost is $20.00 per person. You may send a check to Mary Ann Prescott, Archbishop Mitty High School, 5000 Mitty Ave., San Jose, CA 95129. Please RSVP by September 17th.
