Volunteer Opportunities

Last year, over 550 parents gave at least a few hours of their time to a Mitty/AMPA program. Many gave much more. There are many benefits to becoming an active member of the Mitty community. Join us and find out for yourself!

Most volunteer jobs take place after work hours. These are some of the areas that need parent support:

The Annual Mitty Auction, Athletics, Performing Arts, Mailings, Parent Support, and Social Committee.

An Evening of Culinary Delights

Invitations for the Archbishop Mitty's Parent Association, "An Evening of Culinary Delights" have been mailed out. This is an evening of food tasting, wine and complete with behind the scenes tour of the professional kitchens in action. The event is Thursday, March 25th events starts at 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Cost of event is $40 per person and reservations are necessary. If you did not receive an invitation in the mail, you can download the sign up form (pdf) or contact Mary Ann Prescott.

Parent Volunteering

Throughout the year, the Archbishop Mitty Parent Association is responsible for planning events and providing services to the school that benefit the entire Mitty community. These services provide valuable assistance to the school while the events offer opportunities for parents to meet other parents. Please consider committing your time in one or more of the areas. It is our hope that all parents will assist us by volunteering in some way. Your participation is a wonderful way to meet other parents and have some fun. If you are interested please fill out the form and return it to Mary Ann Prescott, 5000 Mitty Ave., San Jose, Ca. 95129. Parent Volunteer Form (pdf) We appreciate your willingness to participate and become involved in the Mitty community. Working together and sharing experiences that benefit our daughters and sons are opportunities not to be missed. We look forward to meeting and working with you in the coming year.

Faculty/Staff Partnership Program

If you would like to help us to make this program an ongoing success, drop off those sporting event tickets, theater tickets, gift certificates or vacation home vouchers that you are unable to use. Remember that these donations are tax-deductible gifts. Te enthusiasm and excitement of our faculty and staff is phenomenal and should be rewarded. So if you have something to donate or questions about the program, contact Mary Ann Prescott @ 408-342-4208. You may also drop off your donation at the Main Office in care of Mary Ann Prescott.
