What if I am still playing a sport when softball tryouts begin?
That is what the intent to tryout form is for. You can find it in the athletic department or the Intent to Tryout Form (pdf form).
Can I play club softball during my high school softball season?
After the first officiated game is played for your high school season, you cannot play in a club game of the same sport or you risk forfeit of your entire high school season.
Do freshman get cut?
At Mitty we offer three levels of softball, which includes a freshman team. This is intended to be a developmental edge we have in our softball program. This year there will be cuts for freshman. Also, freshman will practice with the JV.
If you made the team last year is it guaranteed you will make it this year?
No. Whether you are a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior it is not guaranteed you will make any team the following year.
