Archbishop Mitty heads into the 2008 season attempting to continue the most successful period in the school’s baseball history; a period that began with an appearance in the CCS Division I semi-finals in 1996 and has included in the subsequent years 3 CCS Division I titles, 2 WCAL titles, one CCS Division I finals appearance, one additional CCS Division I semi-finals appearance, a string of 8 straight years with a first round CCS Division I victory, 4 different years finishing among the top 50 schools in the country according to Baseball America, and numerous other individual and team accolades. The Monarchs have been 167-66 since 2000 with a record of 15-5 in the CCS playoffs. The program has placed 42 players in 4 year college programs since 1996.
