Archbishop Mitty swimmers and divers had another exception season in 2009. The men’s team set an amazing five new school records, including the 200 medley and freestyle events. Current junior Jeff Peters and sophomore Howie Chang set individual marks in the 500 and 100 Freestyle respectively.
Our women also shined, capturing both the WCAL and CCS championships. Along the way, 6 team members were named All-American, including current seniors Monica Garcia and Stephanie Phipps, junior Eva Chen, and Sophomore Charlotte Ruby. The Monarchs became the first program in CCS history to win 8 sectional banners, a truly impressive record of consistency and dominance.
