With the core of last year’s team returning, the women’s soccer team have what is arguably the toughest schedule of any women’s high school team in the bay area. No fewer than four nationally ranked opponents are featured on the Monarchs preseason fixture list. Seniors starters Crystal Shaffie, Jenna Olson, Katie Zdankus, and Monique Rootsaert form the core of a roster that’s deep and talented. The Monarchs will be looking to improve on last season’s WCAL and CCS Runner-up finishes and hang more championship banners from the ceiling of the Fien Pavilion.
