Chris Curry
In the words of head wrestling coach Chris Curry, the 2009-2010 wrestling season will be “electrifying”. The Monarchs bring back talent, leadership, and determination, led by seniors Jon McCarthy (140lbs) and Wes Barone (135lbs), and sophomore Diego Gaxiola (152lbs). All three have CCS competition under their belt and could make a run for the CIF State Wrestling Tournament. Michael Sywyk (Jr. 145lbs), Justin Evans (Jr. 160lbs), and Sam Durham (Soph. 119lbs) will add energy and strength to the Monarch line-up as they step into varsity roles. Look for the Monarchs to make a run for their first WCAL title and a chance to place at the CCS Tournament.
