Despite losing six players to graduation the previous season, the 2009-2010 Monarch men’s basketball team exceeded all expectation. Posting a solid 21-10 record, the team continued a steady improvement over the course of the season. Lead by senior Stephen Meade and freshman Aaron Gordon, the Monarchs got hot in the playoffs, riding their aggressive play and positive momentum all the way to the CCS Division II championship game. Their 56-50 defeat of St. Francis in that contest was one of high points in the history of the program. Truly a magic season to remember.
