  • AMHS sponsors over 24 student clubs including National Honor Society, African-American Student Union, Mountain Biking, Latin American Student Union, California Scholarship Federation, and many more.
  • AMHS fields 65 interscholastic athletic teams in 24 sports. Young men and women participate in the West Catholic Athletic League, which provides the highest level of competition. Over the last five years, more than 150 Archbishop Mitty alumni have gone on to participate in four year collegiate athletic programs. In 2007, Sports Illustrated.com selected Archbishop Mitty as the 5th best athletic school in the nation, #1 in the state of California.
  • The AMHS Performing Arts Program hosts a fall musical, winter drama, a spring musical, and a Christmas concert to complement the curricular offerings in Band, Jazz Band, Beginning Choir, Concert Choir, Jazz Choir, Acting, Drama Performance, and dance.
  • The AMHS Campus Ministry program offers a multitude of ways for students to strengthen and grow in their faith through youth ministry groups (MICAH and LIFE Emmaus Team), immersion trips, class level retreats, all-school liturgies and a variety of Christian Service experiences. Summer immersion trips explore the cultural and historical contexts of Appalacia, El Salvador, California, and South Africa and complement the curricular offerings in the junior Ethics Culture and Justice classes.
  • AMHS Student Activities program provides leadership opportunities for over a quarter of the student body. Overseeing student government, clubs, dances, rallies, Homecoming, Spirit Week, and the ever-popular Monarch Madness, the Student Activities program serves as the hub of activity for fostering and maintaining Mitty Spirit throughout the year.
