Tuition and Fees

Registration Fee

For returning students, a non-refundable registration fee of $825.00 and completion of our On-Line Registration process must be completed by May 16, 2008. For those parents who choose to pay their registration fee by check, your fee is due to the Business Office by May 16, 2008. Please include your students name and I.D. number on your check.

For incoming freshman of the Class of 2012, a non-refundable registration fee of $825.00 and completion of our On-Line Registration process must be completed by April 2, 2008. For those parents who choose to pay their registration fee by check, your fee is do to the Business Office by April 2, 2008. Please include your students name on your check. Registration received after this date will be returned and the student will not be allowed to enroll.

All account balances for the 2007-2008 school year must be paid in full by May 1, 2008 in order to register for the 2008-2009 school year. Student may be withheld from class until payment is made in full.

Transfer student must pay their registration fees within two weeks of acceptance or call the Business Office to arrange payment. (408)252-6960.

Tuition

The tuition at Archbishop Mitty High School is set each spring by our Board of Regents. The 2010-2011 tuition will be set in the spring of 2010.

The tuition for the 2008-2009 school year including the registration fee is $ 12,900.00. Tuition may be paid using one of the following four options:

1. Annual tuition payment by check to AMHS due July 1, 2007:

Freshmen	$12,075.00
Sophomores & Juniors – includes $12 PSAT fee	$12,087.00
Seniors – includes $80 Graduation fee	$12,155.00

2. Semester tuition payment by FACTS* to AMHS due July 1, 2008 and December 1, 2008. This option includes a $50 service charge:

Freshmen	$6,062.50
Sophomores & Juniors – includes $12 PSAT fee	$6,068.50
Seniors – includes $80 Graduation fee	$6,102.50

3. Monthly tuition payment by FACTS*. Ten monthly payments automatically withdrawn from checking or savings: July through April. This option includes a $100 service charge.

Freshmen	$1,217.50
Sophomores & Juniors – includes $12 PSAT fee	$1,218.70
Seniors – includes $80 Graduation fee	$1,225.50

*FACTS: FACTS Tuition Management Program collects tuition on behalf of AMHS automatically from your checking account, savings account. FACTS charges a one time fee of $15.00 to setup a semester, two payment, agreement and a one time fee of $41.00 to setup a monthly, ten payment agreement.

Scholarships

All tuition assistance at Archbishop Mitty is need based. AMHS does not award any grants based strictly on merit.

Tuition Fees and Policies

When a student is disenrolled or dismissed from AMHS, parents are responsible for tuition for all months a student was in attendance, including partial months (1 day or more).  Any residual paid tuition, beyond the last month in attendance, will be refunded.

Financial Penalties

Payments are due on the first of the month. A $25.00 late fee will be charged each month until the past due balance is cleared.  Attendance in class, completion of final examinations, issuance of grades and participation in school-sponsored activities are all dependent upon a position of “good standing.” Past due balances of 30 days or more eliminates “good standing.”

Archbishop Mitty High School reserves the right to add to your account any monies or outstanding returned items due to the school.  As applicable, other fees/fines/charges will be billed to the student’s account.

Checks returned by the bank will be subject to a $25.00 charge.  If two or more checks are returned for non-payment, the Business Office will request all future payments be made in the form of a cashier’s check or money order.

All accounts are expected to be kept current on a monthly basis.  Any account, which falls 60 days in arrears, will be expected to become current within 10 days of notification. Failure to do so will result in suspension of the student, and a payment will be required for the full amount in order for the student to return to school.  During this suspension, the student will not be able to participate in any school activities or be in contact with any teachers regarding class work.  Failure to pay the tuition balance after 5 days of suspension will result in the student being dismissed from Archbishop Mitty.

Disciplinary Probation

If a student is placed on disciplinary probation the student’s account must be kept current at the proscribed payment schedule. Failure to keep the account current may result in the student being dismissed from school.

Graduation Fee

Seniors will pay a graduation fee, which will be included in their tuition payment. This fee covers the cost of the Baccalaureate, Graduation, and the Senior Dinner. The fee includes a cap and gown for Graduation.
