Highlights

Important Information for Current 8th Grade Students

Thank you for your interest in Archbishop Mitty High School. The application period for the Class of 2015 is now open.  Online applications for the Class of 2015 are due no later than Friday, December 17, 2010

Financial Aid applications for the 2011-2012 school year will be available beginning November 21, 2010 and are due no later than February 3, 2011.  Applications can be downloaded from the financial aid section of our website.

School Report Forms, 7th and 8th Grade Transcripts, and OPTIONAL Teacher Recommendation Forms are due no later than February 4, 2011.

Notification letters, financial aid awards, and High School Placement Test results for the Class of 2015 will all be mailed on March 18, 2011.

Admissions Policy

Archbishop Mitty High School admits students of any race, color, or ethnic origin, and from any geographic region, and extends all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded to or made available for students at the school. Archbishop Mitty High School does not require non-academic recommendations. If you would like to submit information regarding an applicant's extra-curricular involvement, you may do so in the form of a letter; however, this is not required as part of the application process.

High School Placement Testing

Applicants will register for the High School Placement Test as part of the online application process.  The testing fee is included in the $75 application fee.  Students who have not applied to Archbishop Mitty High School will be assessed a $50 testing fee due on or before the day of the exam.  No students will be tested with paying an application fee or a testing fee.

Admissions Criteria

Archbishop Mitty High School is a Catholic college preparatory and preference is given to Catholic applicants. Admission to Archbishop Mitty High School is comprehensive; in particular, the Admissions Committee considers the following criteria when making admissions decisions:

    • Proof of Catholic baptism
    • 7th and 8th grade grades (No marks lower than C; a grade point average of 3.0 or higher is also strongly recommended)
    • Standardized testing scores from junior high and the High School Placement Test
    • Teacher recommendations
    • Student-reported activities and special talents
