Admissions Policy and Criteria
Archbishop Mitty High School admits students of any race, color, or ethnic origin, and from any geographic region, and extends all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded to or made available for students at the school. Archbishop Mitty does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, scholarship or loan programs, or in other school-administered programs.
Admission to Archbishop Mitty High School is comprehensive; however, the Archbishop Mitty Admissions Committee primarily considers the following criteria when making admissions decisions:
- 7th and 8th grade grades (including conduct)
- Standardized testing scores from junior high and the High School Placement Test
- Teacher recommendations
- Student-reported activities and special talents
In addition, the Admissions Committee gives priority to Catholic Applicants. Priority is also given to applicants who take their placement test at Mitty and indicate Mitty as their first choice.
