Course Registrations and Scheduling Calendar 2009/2010

Our registration process for the 2009/2010 year begins in January.

AMHS registers students into two types of courses, restricted courses (e.g. honors and AP courses) and elective courses. The department chair places students in restricted courses for next year according to demonstrated academic achievement in classes this year. Students may choose different elective courses based upon student interest and available seats in the particular courses.

Students enrolled in our core college preparatory classes are automatically enrolled in the next level of college preparatory class, e.g. World History students move on to United States History. The complete course list will be available March 5th on our Website (www.mitty.com) under "Academics". Accelerated, Honors and AP placements will also be available on the website on March 5th

Course placement information will be mailed to you in early April 2009. You will have a short time to review the placements and email the department chairs if you have questions regarding your student’s placement in particular classes.
